How to Transform Industrial Buildings with Professional Cherry Picker Painting

It’s no secret that industrial buildings can become extremely run down over time, due to intense wear and tear. Continue reading to learn how professional restoration and cherry picker industrial painting services can transform industrial buildings to boost your facility’s reputation, safety and visual branding.

Elevating Industrial Aesthetic through High Level Cherry Picker Painting

We often find that visuals and aesthetics aren’t the highest of priorities for industrial facilities. However, industrial buildings, especially in manufacturing, experience more substantial levels of wear and tear than domestic or commercial buildings. Often, there’s even a stereotype of associating manufacturing buildings in the UK with being run down and covered in oil, rust and grime.

Professional building restoration and cherry picker painting is an efficient, cost-effective and ideal solution to breathe a new lease of life into industrial buildings so that they are more vibrant, fresh and and more aligned with your company’s branding and products.

Cherry Picker Painting Case Study: Silo Restoration Project

ARDAGH GLASS, IRVINE

A recent project took our team of specialised painters to Irvine, to restore and paint a 22m high storage silo. The silo required several steps of restoration and preparation work prior to painting, to remove any rust blisters and prepare the metal surface for painting.

After applying coats of primer, the team painted the roof area including the handrails, light fixtures and various pieces of machinery. We then worked downwards from a cherry picker, applying 2 coats of metal/ weatherproof paint to each ring.

Cherry picker painting projects are an ideal solution to transform a high-rise industrial building into a bright, impressive building that reflects the ideals and values of your brand or product. Check out the 5 benefits of cherry picker painting works below:

6 Benefits of High Level Cherry Picker Painting

1. Access to Height

Let’s start with the most obvious! Extremely tall buildings in industry are by no means a rare occurrence. High-capacity cherry pickers can reach heights as tall as 75m. This gives our team the flexibility to reach hard-to-reach areas and deliver painting projects for a wide range of tall industrial buildings.

2. Versatility and Efficiency

Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs) are great options for buildings that have irregular angles or are in an awkward position in relation to other buildings. Industrial buildings often have complex architectural features, such as protruding beams, overhangs, or recessed areas, which can be challenging to reach with traditional methods. Cherry pickers provide flexibility to access these hard-to-reach spots with ease!

3. Cost Effective

While there is an initial rental or purchase cost associated with cherry pickers, they can be cost-effective in the long run due to the time saved and the efficiency of the painting process. Fewer man-hours are required to complete the project, compared to scaffolding for example. We are also extremely proud of the productivity of our team, to deliver high quality results in a competitive timeframe!

4. High Quality Finish

We have always believed that you get the best quality clean or paint when you get up close and personal next to the surface. Cherry pickers enable our painters to focus on the quality of their work without the limitations of height or access constraints. This often results in a higher-quality finish that enhances the building’s aesthetics and longevity.

Cherry pickers also allow painters to maintain a consistent distance from the building’s surface, resulting in a more even application of paint. This consistency ensures a professional finish and minimizes the chances of missed spots or uneven coating.

5. Minimal Disruption

Painting from a cherry picker typically causes less disruption to the building’s occupants or nearby activities compared to erecting scaffolding or other access methods that might obstruct walkways or workspaces.

We will always work with our clients to ensure maximum logistical planning in order to not disrupt the day-to-day operations of their business.

6. Aesthetic Transformation

Perhaps the most obvious benefit is the aesthetic transformation of a run-down building into an attractive and visually appealing structure. Fresh paint can breathe new life into the building and create a positive impression on visitors, clients, and employees.
